Amgad Fawzy, better known as Cheez Kong, is an illustrator, street artist, and pop artist born in 1984. His work is heavily influenced by the pop artists and neo-expressionists of the late 20th Century. A NYC native from Manhattan, Cheez Kong incorporates the people, places, and spirit of his beloved hometown into his art. His work is rife with irreverent pop culture references, and is informed by the cartoon characters, graffiti, and comic books he was obsessed with as a kid growing up in the 80s and 90s. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
